ACSA AND CAA SHIDOSHAKAIS
Basic factual information (rules, organisational and personal structure) of the Suisse Aikido Association (ACSA) and the Czech Aikido Associations (CAA). There are close contacts between these organisations, ACSA co-operates with CAA since the CAA establishment.

Miroslav Kodym: CAA SUMMER AIKIDO SCHOOLS
In 1994 the preliminary zero CAA summer school was held in Hranice na Moravě, where D. Vetter as the CAA Technical Director’s Assistant checked the technical level of Czech aikido practitioners and the CAA organisational abilities. Next 6 successful a week’s CAA summer schools were then held regularly in České Budějovice in July/August always attended and lead by M. Ikeda Shihan. The author makes us familiar with the organisation, participants, daily schedule, examinations, operational circumstances, atmosphere, and accompanying programmes (special theatre performances etc.) of each of them.

THE HISTORY OF IAIDO
This is a brief extract of the history of iaido since the first shihan Hayashizaki till today elaborated by KENKEN Production and R. Lanc after the Japanese original ”Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei Iai”.

Ladislav Kryzánek: YOUNG JAPANESE REVOLT AGAINST THEIR FATHERS
A critical article published in the Mladá Fronta DNES newspaper on May 3, 2001 describes the decay of the traditional Japanese polite and formal manners, old ethics and the special polite language not only among the young generation in Japan. Some analysts take this phenomenon for a kind of rebellion of the young people against the maximal formalism of the past generations.

Martin Poláček: FROM THE LETTERS TO MY FRIENDS (V)
Continued quoatations from Martin´s letters sent from Japan, Katsuura, where he takes courses in The International Budo University. The selection has relation mainly with the themes interesting most probably all Aikido readers, namely with the professional budo matters, international university milieu and useful personal everyday experience.
